Summer Contest 2009 - deadline met!

Ok everyone the competition deadline is here!!  We have 3 great entries so a big thank you to the entrants for taking the time to participate!  I'll send out the notes to all members shortly so we can get the voting started.  I'll give the voting 2 weeks so that's until Sat 29 August.  Then I'll announce the winner once the votes are counted! Thanks everyone

CONTEST GUIDELINES

The theme for this competition is Summer. So bring on your pics of Garfield and friends playing at the beach or surfing or gobbling down ice-creams or just in their summer gear! Anything that's summer-themed is welcome   
All entries have to include Garfield, and as many or as few of his friends as you want - Odie, Jon, Liz, Nermal, Arlene, Squeak the mouse, Stretch the rubber chicken or anyone else you can think of to include from the comics!
No previously submitted deviations please
One entry per person

The rough deadline is the 15 August.  That's just one week from now!

When your entry is done simply submit it to your gallery as you usually would & then send us the link to it in a note with the title like 'Contest entry'

You can choose just to enter it in the competition or enter and submit it to the club as a submission. It's your choice - just let us know in your note


The prizes will be subscriptions and features in the club and my own journal. If we get enough entries (say 5/6 or more) there'll be a prize for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.

And if anyone would be willing to donate a prize or feature for the winner(or winners) just let me know.


Any questions or comments about the competition then feel free to leave a comment on this journal or send a note to the club or to myself (it'll probably be a quicker response if you send it to myself)
